Kyoto KIMONO hand-painted Yuzen dyeing craftsman
Born in Kyoto. I am a Kyoto hand-painted Yuzen dyeing craftsman and a graphic designer. I designed the Athens Olympics Synchronized Swimming Japan National Team Swimsuit in 2004. I also designed the grand court of the professional baseball Chunichi Dragons in 2007. In 2012, in a joint research between JAXA (Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency) and Doshisha University, I was in charge of the art director of an experiment in which cherry blossom petals were made to dance in the zero gravity space inside the International Space Station. In 2013, I made a fusuma painting of Nyozein, a temple of Myoshinji, a Zen temple of the Rinzai sect in Kyoto. I designed the exterior of the Kyoto Municipal Bus in Kyoto City in 2014. In 1996, it was certified as the successor to Kyoto Prefecture’s craft technology. Currently,CEO of Japan Style System Co,LTD. and is also a part-time lecturer at Doshisha Women’s University.
